Oxford Utd 3 – 1 York City
Huge congratulations to our own Jack Midson, who together with his team Oxford Utd won the Blue Square Premier League Play off at Wembley today! They beat York City 3-1 and will now be promoted to Division 2 – well done boys!!
Don’t worry, Jack is still 100% committed to The Elms and our sports programmes.

Congratulations to Chloe Vaughan from Abbots Langley school who came 3rd in the under 10’s Cassiobury 1k race representing Team Elms Sport in Schools .
Chloe finished in front off 176 children to take 3rd place with a time of 5.16secs. – Well done Chloe!

PPA Cover/Extended Day Cover
In accordance with the Government’s new strategy – all teachers are entitled to a minimum of 10% of their timetable teaching time guaranteed for planning, preparation and assessment (PPA).
Schools are also encouraged to offer The Extended Day to meet parents’ growing requirements for this service.
The Elms now provide sports based PPA cover to over 12,000 children in 110 schools around London and the surrounding counties – a number that is constantly increasing.
ESS National Championship
Our ground-breaking National Award Scheme ensures that all children, of all abilities, not only engage with enthusiasm in their coaching activity but sustain and increase their pleasure and commitment. An all-embracing scheme that rewards and encourages each and every child on a weekly basis.
Holiday Sports Schemes
In accordance with the Government’s wish for the Extended Day, which we know includes holidays, The Elms Sport in Schools specialises in supplying first class sports clubs during School holidays – February Half Term, Easter, Whitsun, Summer and October Half Term.
QCA Unit Assessments
The Elms, in conjunction with school staff, carry out regular QCA Unit Assessments to monitor all children and record their individual progress with each sport/activity.
The Elms would be delighted to provide you with our sports coaches for both PPA Cover (during school hours) and to cover all the hours that The Extended Day demands.
