Sports Coach
Job Purpose
To plan, co-ordinate and deliver outstanding quality sport sessions for children in Primary schools and at holiday camps.
Your Duties & Responsibilities
Your duties and responsibilties as an Elms Sports Coach will be as follows:
- to deliver high quality, enjoyable sport sessions that are well structured
- to undertake the necessary planning for each session and to ensure The Elms bespoke cheque award system is followed
- to retain children in sport, increase club numbers and encourage attendance by building rapport with the school, parents and children
- to develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships with your school/parents to assist in the development of new business
- to be a role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children to participate in sport
to adapt sessions to cater for different ranges of ability and age appropriate - to undertake the administrative tasks required within the role; including registers, club numbers, assessment forms
- to ensure all Elms sports equipment is correctly set up, maintained, stored and returned on completion of the coaching session
- to take responsibility for personal professional development by attending relevant training courses to improve your coaching delivery and further your career
- to be familiar and comply with the Elms Health and Safety regulations and to undertake venue risk assessments prior to all sessions
- to work in a flexible way, be able to undertake other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.
