PPA Curriculum
The Elms ‘Sport In Schools’ follows the individual borough Curriculum and supply structured lesson covering all the sports requirements.
Using a 5-part lesson, ESS deliver the QCA units focusing on developing skills through a variety of sports. ESS work alongside staff in the schools’ PE assessment procedures which are used to provide evidence of pupil enjoyment, achievement and attainment together with an individual assessment which the school can use to add to the report of every child.
The Elms now provide sports based PPA cover for over 12,000 children every week in London and the surrounding counties – a number that is constantly increasing.
QCA Unit Assessments
The Elms, in conjunction with school staff, carry out regular QCA Unit Assessments to monitor all children and record their individual progress with each sport/activity.
The Elms would be delighted to provide you with our sports coaches for both PPA Cover (during school hours) and to cover all the hours that The Extended Day demands.
